March 3-7, 2014, is National School Breakfast Week!
Research shows that healthy eating correlates with less frequent trips to the school nurse and less absenteeism. In addition, eating a nutritious school breakfast on testing days – and every school day - leads to improve test scores!
Breakfast is available at all schools in the PCSD. For exact time, contact the school. The full price is $1.45 and reduced is $0.30 per breakfast. Menus are available at each school or on the PCSD website.
An example of a typical day includes cereal, English muffin, jelly, grape juice, fruit and milk.
For questions regarding the menu, contact Holly Denman, Food Services Director, at denmanh@portage.k12.wi.us or (608) 742- 3715.
