Lyndsey Garske earned her BA in Vocal Music from the UW-Platteville in 1998 and a Masters Degree from Viterbo University in 2007. From 1999-2022, she taught grades sixth and eighth General Music, Choir (6th, 7th, 8th, Middle Men), and Swing/Vocal Jazz Choir at Bartels Middle School in Portage. Beginning in the 2022-23 school year, she begins her new position as the Portage High School Choral Director. Mrs. Garske has served as a staff member for the WSMA State Honors Project, an adjudicator for WSMA district/state festivals and the Middle School and High School State Honors Project auditions, and guest director for Honors Choirs throughout the state, and a supervisor for the PHS 2022 Marching Band Color Guard. Mrs. Garske has performed on stage at the Portage Area Community Theatre, directed the Bethlehem Lutheran Children’s Choir, performed with an a cappella group and church choir. Besides singing, Mrs. Garske can play guitar, ukuele, piano, world music drums, and trumpet. She lives in Portage with her husband and children.
