Welcome to the World Language Department!
The goal of the World Language Department is to instill within the students a sense of pride and confidence in the languages and cultures learned so that they will use the language for personal enjoyment and enrichment. We strive to have our students knowledgeable and skillful in all areas of language learning including communication, cultures, connections, comparisons, and communities.
Our department supports the proper use of online dictionaries and translating tools in order to develop proficiency in these areas. Because we value our students’ growth and the learning process, students will be expected to submit original work. No more than 10% of the assignment should consist of translated material. Any assignments exceeding 10% will be subject to the school’s Academic Integrity Policy and its consequences.
