Each middle school student will begin to create an academic and career plan (ACP), which they will continue to work on throughout High School. This plan includes career research, goal setting, academic planning, and post-secondary planning. Each year students add more information to their plan.
As of the 2014-2015 school year, Bartels Middle School is now using "Career Cruising" for career exploration (formerly used WisCareers). Students will also use Career Cruising to assist them in signing up for next year's classes based on the career of choice and four-year planner.
