DPI released district and school report cards for 2023-2024 this morning.
The Portage Community School District achieved an overall rating of “Meets Expectations” and a numerical score of 60.0 for the 2023-24 report card. Endeavor Elementary achieved an overall rating of "Significantly Exceeds Expectations." Lewiston Elementary achieved an overall rating of “Exceeds Expectations." John Muir Elementary and Portage High School achieved overall ratings of “Meets Expectations." Bartels Middle School achieved an overall rating of “Meets Few Expectations”.
The Public State Report Cards for the District and each school are attached to this email. Woodridge and PAA do not have students in a tested cell size large enough to receive a state report card. They must submit an alternate accountability report to DPI each year detailing their achievement and growth.
Our District continues to work toward closing the gaps and increasing student growth. Striving to meet our district strategic plan should close the gaps and increase the performance of all students. If we work together with a focus on each student’s needs, we should see an upward growth trend in our state report card scores.
