Camp HOPE is a non-profit organization that provides weekend bereavement camps for grieving children and teens and their families. For the past 30 years, Camp HOPE has offered spring, fall and winter weekend camps.
The 2021 camp runs May 15-16, 2021 and October 9-10, 2021. Registrations for kids 5-18 are due three weeks prior to each camp weekend. Because of generous donations and contributions, there is no cost to attend Camp and transportation may be made available at no cost if pre-arranged. Camp welcomes all genders, races, sexual orientations, religions, etc. and is nondiscriminatory.
Camp is another wonderful way to help our kids smile again. This is an opportunity for families to make connections outside of their typical circle and for children to realize they can still have fun, build friendships, work through their grief and know they’re not alone. Camp offers fishing, hiking, camp fires, cabin lodging, cafeteria meals, group ropes activities, candlelight vigils, arts and crafts, drum circles, music and more. There is separate lodging and programming for the adults, including candle making, yoga, grief circles and other relaxing sessions. Camp HOPE is held at the Lions Camp in Rosholt and free to all participants.
