Online Applications for the 2026-27 school year will begin Monday, February 2, 2026 and continue through Thursday, April 30, 2026, ending at 4:00 p.m. Applications will be accepted on DPI's website during this time only.

What is Public School Open Enrollment?
Wisconsin's inter-district public school open enrollment program allows parents to apply for their children to attend a school district other than the one in which they live. Applications may be submitted to up to three nonresident school districts. There is no tuition cost to parents for participation in open enrollment. Parents of open enrolled pupils may be charged the same fees as resident pupils.
