We recommend that you review the database listing once a month - twice a month in January, February, and March when most scholarship deadlines occur.

Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, has scholarships available for two Family & Consumer Sciences (FCS) freshmen every year. Each scholarship is $4,000 per year and is renewable each year. Each student works one-on-one with a FCS faculty member to complete a research or creative project. We have several different major options within the FCS Department including nutrition & dietetics, public health education, hospitality leadership, retail merchandising, FCS teacher education, and FCS. The scholarship will be awarded annually to one graduating high school senior from each of the four membership regions of Wisconsin as specified in the organization’s bylaws. An additional at-Large scholarship will be given to the next highest scoring applicant. Each recipient will receive a one-time cash scholarship of $750 to be used by the student to help defray the costs of post-secondary education and related expenses. A written essay is required for the application that expands on the following information:
- the benefits of attending a rural school
- your college and career goals
- the value of growing up in a rural community and what personal values you have gained from your experience
Each school must screen and evaluate its own applicants, based upon criteria set forth on the WiRSA Scholarship Application Form and then choose a single semi-finalist be forwarded to WiRSA for consideration (each school may submit only one entry for consideration). DEADLINE TO SUBMIT APPLICATION TO THE COUNSELING OFFICE IS FEBRUARY 10, 2021.
Counselors must email the chosen application to the WiRSA Director no later than February 15 of each year in order to be considered. |

The funds will be distributed directly to the recipient upon submittal of a first semester transcript and second semester class schedule.

They are available to adults and dependent children of all ACEC member families currently receiving electric service from ACEC. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of need and excellence in academics, social and community service activities.

The Wisconsin Security Association (WISA), is pleased to announce the availability of two college scholarships for graduating seniors whose parents are full-time, active members of a Wisconsin police or fire department. One $1,500 Youth Scholarship will be awarded to a son/daughter of an active-duty police department member and one to a son/daughter of an active-duty fire department member. Since 2010 WISA has awarded $31,000 in scholarships.
A first place winner will be chosen from the Wisconsin Association two awardees and will be submitted to the Electronic Security Association for competition for one of two national college scholarships. The first place national winner will receive $7,500 and the second place national winner receives $2,500.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2021 Youth Scholarship Program. All high schools, fire departments, and police departments in Wisconsin have been emailed the Youth Scholarship application. Schools and fire and police departments are encouraged to post the scholarship application form on their websites. The application form includes submission information and the rules and eligibility requirements.
Awards are based on a combination of academic achievement, national test scores, extracurricular participation and the essay. In addition to completing the application and submitting the appropriate documentation, each student must write an essay explaining “What it means to me to have my parent or guardian involved in securing our community.” |

This NCS Competition is a new type of CTF that has challenges for every level. Students can qualify for the National Cyber Scholarship Competition through CyberStart America, beginning on October 30, 2020, or through alternative entry routes include the Spring picoCTF competition. Qualified students will compete nationally to win one of three tiers of award, with the highest scorers being awarded college scholarships to use at the school of their choice to pursue further study related to cybersecurity. This CTF competition will allow students to rank highly by completing challenges across a range of disciplines, or to focus their efforts on a particular area, such as defensive hacking. |

In partnership with the Straubel Family Foundation, the Midwest Renewable Energy Association ("MREA") launched its new scholarship initiative in 2018 to foster student leadership in clean energy. The award is designed to assist students who are pursuing degrees and/or relevant credentials in renewable energy, energy efficiency, sustainability, or clean technology.
Scholarships are awarded to students who reside in the Midwest (WI, MN, MI, IA, IL, IN, OH, MO). In 1956, Jon Steinhaus began his career with the former Adams-Marquette Electric Cooperative as an apprentice lineman. He progressed through the ranks and was named General Manager in 1976. Mr. Steinhaus retired in 1996 after 40 years of dedicated cooperative service.
The purpose of the Jon Steinhaus Line Worker Scholarship Program is to encourage men and women to pursue an electric line worker career. Scholarships are awarded annually in the amount of $1,500.
Scholarship eligibility includes anyone who is a high school senior (or older). Successful applicants must be enrolled in an Electrical Power Distribution (EPD) program at a certified EPD school in the United States. Although not a requirement, preference is given to members of Adams-Columbia Electric Cooperative.
