Education: I graduated from UW Oshkosh with a degree in Elementary Education in 1996. I earned a Master's in Education degree in 2007 from Viterbo University. In 2016, I completed a Masters in Literacy from UW Oshkosh where I also earned a Reading License and a Reading Specialist License.
Classes: I have been teaching at Bartels since 1997. While at Bartels Middle School, I have taught writing and English to sixth, seventh and eighth graders. I'm currently teaching Reader's and Writer's Workshop (English) to 8th graders.
Favorite Part About Teaching: I love to work with middle school students. They have something new to teach me each and every day.
Some of my favorite things to do: I love going to basketball games, as you can see in the picture. It is of one of my favorite basketball players in a game from 2007 - he scored with an ally-oop dunk off of an inbound pass. It was pretty fun to watch! I also love to travel. I was lucky enough to go to Alaska during the summer of 2017 to visit relatives and some beautiful spots that state has to offer. Reading is also something that I absolutely love to do. I hope to share that love of reading with my students!
