I grew up in St.Charles, Minnesota, and moved to Pardeeville, Wisconsin during my sophomore year of high school. I graduated from Pardeeville High School in 1997. After high school, I attended the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire for one year. I then took some time off from school and began working for a bank here in Portage. My career in the finance world lasted eight years and created many wonderful opportunities for me. However, in 2006 I returned to school at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh to pursue my dream career in education. In the Spring of 2010, I graduated from UW Oshkosh with a B.S. in Special Education and Regular Education. .That fall I was hired to teach special education at the Portage Middle School and taught there for 8 years. In 2018 I started as an Interventionist at John Muir Elementary. In the spring of 2021, I will have completed my Reading Teacher Certificate through Viterbo University and plan to continue my education further by earning my Master of Arts in Education. I love teaching and being part of such an amazing school district!
I have two awesome kids! My daughter Avery was born in 2003 and attends Portage High School. She loves singing in the choir, participating in the school play, and playing sports. My son River was born in 2005 and attends school also at Portage High School. He enjoys football, basketball, and baseball!
In 2018 I married my husband Pat. He has two children, Noah and Olivia. Together, with our children and two dogs, Piper and Abby, we make our home on the lake in Pardeeville.
My favorite hobby is READING!!! During most of my free time, I love getting lost in a good book! I also enjoy playing volleyball, traveling, and spending time with family and friends!
