I was born and raised in Lake Elmo, Minnesota, in the Twin Cities area. For my undergraduate degree I studied Broadfield Science at UW-River Falls with emphasis in Geology and Chemistry. I worked for my home district for 7 years teaching 8th grade Earth Science. While working there I went back to school to get my Master's degree from Hamilne University in Environmental Education.
Recently my husband and I have moved into the area to be closer to family after having our first child. As a family, we like to spend time being outside and spending time with more family members. We like to travel to new locations and national parks to take photos of wildlife. I am honored to be teaching here at Portage High School for a such a strong, tight-knit community like the one that I grew up in.
